Written Concept:
Single Sentence Summary:
Years of lifelessness and death consume the exterior of your forsaken body; however, the time is now, the time for your resurrection.
Single Paragraph Summary:
The year is 3160, the earth and universe as we know it is driven by science and technology. Religion is a forgotten black art and all the mysteries to the beliefs of the past are under tight concealment by select agencies. However, a religious sect has initiated an esoteric plan which will resurrect a dead saint through the use of bio-mechanics. The dead saint will become the new figure in the restoration of faith to mankind and become the leader of the final crusade. The dead saint is you!
Themes:
Realistic
The intention of the games environment and visuals are designed to be highly realistic, showing the capabilities of current generation game engines and the hardware capable of running them.
Futuristic
A futuristic setting is intended as a tool to transport the player from one reality to another, increasing the chance for immersion and holding the players suspension of belief throughout the entire experience.
Dark
The games overall context and theme are dark with very serious overtones. This is not a game for children or the faint-hearted.
Religious
A religious theme is intended to increase the seriousness of the content in the game, and encourage the player to connect on a higher level with his/her actions throughout the game.
Genre:
-Third Person Action/Adventure
-Designer has cinematic control over the camera at all times.
-This will allow for directed control in cinematic moments.
Tone Video:
This initial video was used in pre-production to help show the intentions and mood of the piece.
Pre-production: This is the initial animatic that was created during Jr. year as a template for what would be created during thesis production Sr. year.



Block-out: This is the initial block-out video file that was used as a 3d template for how the shots would be designed in the third dimension.
Production Modeling: This is the phase of production where the world is created and the magic starts to happen.
























Unreal Production: In this phase I started to down-res all of the hi-res assets, so they could be implemented into the UDK game engine.







Final Video of Fall Semester:
Main Character Production: At the start of the spring semester we started to work on character production. This included rigging and any animation required for the piece.







Final Production Phase: This phase primarily consisted of polish and tweaking the final audio and addressing various polish issues. Here is the final film:
